The Breakfast Post | #9...

A new year, a new Breakfast Post! This time round, Ben and I took two of our friends along with us so be prepared for double the number of photos. We decided to head to Caravan by Kings Cross as I'd read some good things about it and the menu looked different to any breakfast place we'd been to before. We knew from the website that they don't take bookings for Brunch at the weekends but decided to take a leisurely journey up there as we were happy to wait. When we made it there at around 11/11.30 the wait was 45mins so be ready to have a drink at the bar before eating - it's definitely worth the wait! After spending an eternity looking at the menu, I went for baked eggs, tomato pepper ragout, greek yoghurt, toast and sausage whilst Ben went for Kimchi pancake, pork belly and fried duck egg with bbq crème fraiche. Our two friends decided on the Caravan fry and the prawn and chorizo omelette with almonds and a chipotle lime mayo.

Caravan is a great place if you're bored of the traditional breakfast menu - reading the descriptions of the dishes can seem a bit mind-boggling at first but all the breakfasts looked incredible and the four of us all loved our meals (even if we weren't sure what all the ingredients in them were!). The staff were great too, really friendly and very attentive, especially when we were having a drink waiting for our table. If you give Caravan a visit, I'd definitely recommend the salted caramel hot chocolate!

    1. It was almost too good to eat, I felt a bit bad destroying the fancy creations they'd made! Thanks for commenting :)
