This week, when clearing out my room in preparation for a bit of decorating, I stumbled across lots of old photos. It got my reminiscing about my childhood and I thought I'd share some of the photos on here (I apologise for the photo heavy post, I just couldn't decide which ones to leave out!).
I love old photos of my parents, especially ones that show off great 90s fashion. I particularly enjoy my Dad's waistcoat in the photo from Christmas! I love this photo of my Mum, it's weird to think that she's only three years older than I am now in it.
There's four years between me and my sister and whilst we have the odd disagreement we get on pretty well! I included the picture on the right as I vividly remember bouncing and pushing my sister in her baby bouncer as if it were a swing for hours.
Most of the memories I have from being little include my sister, my cousin and France. Having a French Nan means that as a family we visit France every year. When we were younger, my sister and I used to invent games that involved the red stools my Nan used to have at her house. We'd pretend they were cars or use them as a bridge to get us across crocodile infested waters. I also remember spending lots of time at my cousins house, endlessly playing and whizzing round the garden in his plastic car. I love the photo on the right as I think it perfectly captures the happy memories I have of being little. It also shows how my sister and I used to love wearing the same outfits, we wanted to be twins ha!
As a family, we often went skiing and to Greece. I absolutely love family holidays, I really enjoy spending time with my Mum, Dad and sister. Even now, at the age of 21, I look forward to family holidays. I'm going to miss being around them 24/7 when I do eventually move out, but that's a little while away yet!
This has to be one of my all-time favourite photos. It's from my first ever ballet exam and will always remind me of where my love for dance came from.
I love looking through old photos, they always bring a smile to my face. I think it's important to have lots of photos around the house so, I've decided to create a photo wall in my bedroom. It's going to be full of my friends and family and hopefully will act as a reminder of all the good things that life brings. Once it's complete, I'll do a post and include photos of my updated bedroom.
