My Inner Palaeontologist...

You know you've found a keeper when he takes you to see the dinosaurs for Valentine's Day! Yesterday, Ben took me on a surprise trip for the grand old day that is 14th February - we tend not to make too big a deal out of the celebration but instead use it as an excuse to get out of the house and go on a proper date. Knowing that I have a fascination with dinosaurs (who wouldn't be in awe of such immense creatures?!) we spent yesterday afternoon lost in the Natural History Museum.

I could have spent double the number of hours we had wandering around yesterday, the only reason we left was because it closed! Of all the London museums, the Natural History has to be my favourite; it reminds me of my childhood, sparked my interest in dinosaurs and shows people the wonders of the world we live in. What more could you want..?

My First Blogger Event...

Last Saturday I took the plunge and decided to attend my first ever blogger event. I'm not necessarily a shy person but I've always been a bit scared to attend a meet up mainly for the fact I would have to go on my own. When I saw #nyLNDmeet on Twitter I knew it was the perfect opportunity for me to get out of my comfort zone and meet some fellow bloggers! The afternoon was brilliant! Lauren, Amy and Tamsyn did a fantastic job at bringing together and delivering an amazing event.

The event was jam packed with things for us bloggers to do! There were some amazing brands including new skincare range MooGoo which I'm excited to try as I think it'll do wonders for the eczema that flares up on my hands. I also had to use all my will power to not buy everything from Stella & Dot (how many bracelets can you own before you have an addiction?). Everywhere I turned something caught my eye; marshmallows, henna, cocktails, incredible raffle prizes, nail technicians, hair stylists, new make up brands...

I'm so happy I decided to go! I had a brilliant time and met some truly lovely girls that made the afternoon fly by.

The Breakfast Post | #10...

I can't believe that we're into the second month of 2015 and it's time for another Breakfast Post! This month, Ben and I weren't sure where to go and ended up heading into Soho with our fingers crossed. Luckily, fortune was on our side and we found one of the best places I think we've ever been to! Muriel's Kitchen not only has brilliant food and yummy smoothies, it is decorated in the most beautiful way - it even has swinging chairs! As soon as we sat down, I immediately spied the fluffiest pancakes at the table next door and knew that I didn't even have to look at the menu to decide what I was having.

It's been mentioned plenty of times before on this blog, I have a very sweet tooth but these pancakes defeated me! As delicious as they were, Ben had to help me out and eat one for me (I obviously made sure that I had room to have a bite of his 'Breakfast of Campions' before I got too full)... I did have slight food envy when he sliced into his poached egg and I saw how orange the yolk was! I would definitely recommend Muriel's Kitchen to everyone, I can't wait to head back and try all of the delicious cakes and pastries they had in the window.
